AWOO Protocol v1

A public ritual on Bitcoin — with rules no one can change.

Once every full moon, DOG holders howl on-chain. Every howl earns AWOO and writes a page in the Pack Book. There is no custody, no promise of value, no central operator — only a public protocol and the first interface to it.

The ritual — what a howl is

A howl is a valid Bitcoin transaction that meets all four conditions:

  1. a)It transfers at least one unit of DOG•GO•TO•THE•MOON from an address back to itself — a self-send.
  2. b)It carries the AWOO marker: an extra OP_RETURN with the ASCII payload AWOO1.
  3. c)It confirms inside the Moon Window — the six blocks from B0 to B0+5, where B0 is the first block whose timestamp is at or after the astronomical full moon (UTC).
  4. d)The address holds the minimum DOG collateral at the window's snapshot block.

One address is one voice per moon. The rule is fully deterministic — any indexer in the world reaches the same result.

The coin — AWOO•AT•THE•MOON

AWOO mirrors DOG: 100 billion supply, five decimals, a free distribution — but paid out in installments. Each moon releases a fixed pot of 3.844 billion AWOO, split 80% to the voices and 20% to the Bone. Every 13 moons (a lunar year) the pot halves, Bitcoin-style. The creator keeps 0%, forever.

Titles weigh each voice's share of the pot. They can't be bought — only lived:

Why the count is real — four anti-sybil defenses

The scoreboard is only worth something because bots don't howl. Four defenses work together:

Fixed shared pot

No per-howl quota. Splitting into more wallets dilutes the attacker along with everyone else — the Bitcoin block model.

Real cost

Every howl pays a mining fee, per wallet, per moon. Farming becomes mining: a certain cost for an uncertain outcome.

Collateral

A minimum DOG balance at the snapshot block. Forging 500 wallets means acquiring and locking 500 collaterals — the attack becomes demand for DOG.

Streak weighting

Loyalty outweighs multiplication. A long consecutive streak can't be bought — only lived, one moon at a time.

The Genesis Ceremony

All AWOO is etched at once and immediately locked into Emission Vaults — one UTXO per moon for the first four eras (52 vaults), plus an aggregator vault for the later eras and the Genesis Bone, each with a timelock that only unlocks near its date. This makes it impossible for anyone, including the founder, to release future emission early. The Vault Map (addresses and unlock heights) is published at Genesis and auditable forever.

One honest caveat, declared in the protocol itself: timelocks prevent early release, but each moon's distribution is executed by the founder's operational key and audited publicly against the frozen scoreboard. Trust is minimized, not zero — and every step leaves an on-chain trail anyone can check.

Frozen parameters

Once the protocol is published, these values never change.

FAQ

Is this an investment?

No. The Howl is a cultural ritual and art protocol. AWOO is a free airdrop for participation, with no promise of value. Nothing here is financial advice.

What does it cost to howl?

Only the Bitcoin network fee (paid to miners, not to the project). A higher fee is a louder howl — you always see the cost before you sign.

Is my DOG safe?

Your DOG never leaves your wallet. A howl is a self-send: it goes from your address back to your address. The site never touches your funds and never asks for your seed.

Who controls the protocol?

No one. It is a public protocol with a fixed set of rules. The website is the first interface, not the owner of the ritual — anyone can build another.

Can the rules change?

No. Once the protocol is published, the frozen parameters never change. Changing a rule would be a betrayal of the pack.

How much does the creator keep?

Zero, forever. The founder howls under the same public rules as everyone else, with a single declared wallet — no reserve, no personal premine.

Where does new AWOO come from?

From a fixed pot released moon by moon, split among the voices. It cannot be minted on demand — the only way in is to howl.

How do I know the count is real?

Every voice is an on-chain transaction that costs a real fee and requires DOG collateral. Bots don't howl. Each moon's scoreboard is published with a SHA-256 hash anyone can verify.

Disclaimers

The Howl is a cultural ritual and art protocol. Nothing here is financial advice. AWOO is a free airdrop for participation with no promise of value. There is no sale, no lottery, no custodied prize, and no promise of return. The howl fee is a Bitcoin network fee paid to miners, never to the project. You interact only with your own self-custodial wallet.
